About
A former fashion editor’s guide to effortless, everyday style. Get practical outfit formulas and smart basics that actually work in real life.

Hey! I’m Roxy Lin.
I used to edit fashion for a living. Now I just do it for fun, for friends, and honestly, for anyone who’ll listen.
I’ve always believed you don’t need a huge wardrobe to look good. Just the right ideas. If you want outfits that feel polished and comfortable enough for real life… we’re definitely on the same page.
My style philosophy
Look polished. Feel like yourself. Don’t overthink it.

Where I’m coming from
Before I ever posted outfit ideas online, I spent seven years as a fashion editor in China. I specialized in makeovers. Not the dramatic TV kind. The kind where you learn fast what actually changes someone’s look. Proportion. Color. Fabric. Confidence.
Later I moved to the US with my husband. I worked in fashion here too, on the corporate side of a fast fashion company. I don’t name past employers out of respect for confidentiality. But I learned a lot about how the industry works behind the scenes.
Ok the honest part: learning American style wasn’t instant.
When I first got here, I felt so out of sync. The dress codes were different. The “rules” were different. Even what people considered “too dressed up” was totally different from what I was used to.
So I did what fashion people do. I watched. I tested outfits. I paid attention to what women actually wore. To the office. To brunch. To school pickup. On weekends. What looked current. What looked dated. What looked effortless.
Eventually I found my groove. American style is less about looking perfect. It’s more about looking confident and right for whatever your day looks like.
That learning curve is a big reason I started this blog. I know how frustrating it is to stand in front of a full closet and think, “I have nothing to wear.” Been there. Many times.
Why I’m a full time blogger now
In 2024, I developed a health condition called idiopathic facial nerve palsy. I needed to step back from my job, focus on treatment and recovery. So I resigned and went back to China for medical care.
Fashion has always been my work. But it’s also my comfort. Blogging lets me keep doing what I love at a pace that supports my health. Honestly? It’s been one of the best things to come out of a really hard time.
